The first two pieces reflect the wide range of emotions that can arise from thinking about one's own mortality, as well as the mortality of loved ones. The third piece is a euphoric dream of all the beautiful things that could be waiting in paradise for those who cross over, followed by the fourth piece: a peaceful acceptance of mortality, and a quiet eagerness leave behind the woes of life.
